The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said, “Sanitary and living conditions across Gaza are inhumane.”
The UN agency wrote on X on Sunday, “mountains of garbage are piling up in Gaza middle areas as sewage leaks onto streets.”
“Families have no choice but to live beside the accumulated waste, exposed to the reek and the threat of a looming health disaster”, it added, calling for an immediate ceasefire.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has been waging, with US support, a war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, which has so far resulted in the martyrdom of 41,595 citizens and the injury of more than 96,000 others.
