The Hamas Movement has strongly denounced the Israeli decision to close the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil City to Muslim worshipers until next Sunday and allow extremist Jewish settlers as of today to desecrate it.
In a statement on Thursday, Hamas condemned the Israeli closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque as “aggression against a purely Islamic holy site” and a “violation of its sanctity.”
Hamas called on the international community to take effective action against the Israeli occupation government to stop its aggression against the Palestinian people, their land and holy sites.
The Movement expressed its belief that the Israeli settlement and Judaization crimes against the Palestinian land and holy sites would never succeed in changing the truth and reality, no matter how criminal the Israeli plans are.
It stressed that the Palestinian steadfast people at home and abroad would remain adherent to their national rights, defending their land and holy sites until they achieve their aspirations for liberation and return.
