Dutch lawyer Harun Rida has filed a criminal complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) against 1,000 Israeli soldiers, accusing them of being involved in committing genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip.
In a recent statement, Rida said he brought the complaint against the soldiers on behalf of the victims in Gaza and the West Bank after the Israeli genocidal war on them entered its second year.
Rida is a representative of the March 30 Movement in the Netherlands — an organization founded by activists in Europe with the aim of stopping the Israeli genocide in Gaza. The Movement’s name refers to the Palestinian Land Day, which is marked on March 30.
Rida explained that the complaint is based on documented evidence from the UN and noted human rights organizations, in addition to video recordings collected from social media by a team working for the Movement.
The 428-page complaint includes the names of senior army officers and pilots who hold dual nationalities.
