The American Delta Airlines announced on Wednesday its suspension of all flights to Israel until the end of March 2025, while the Hungarian company Wizz Air extended the cancellation of all its flights to Tel Aviv until mid-January 2025.

Hebrew media reported that Wizz Air contacted more than 100,000 Israelis who purchased tickets, and informed them of the cancellation of all flights.

“Dozens of international airlines have suspended flights to Israel, the latest of which is the American Delta Airlines, which announced that it will suspend its flights between New York and Tel Aviv until next March 2025. Israel is incurring huge losses due to flights cancellation because it is no longer a safe country for investment and will not succeed in regaining its position,” Ahmad Mansour, a media man working with al-Jazeer said on X.

Wizz Air, which is the largest foreign airline operating in Israel, cancels about 200 flights per week to more than 20 destinations, and the Polish airlines LOT postponed all of its flights until November 1.

The Israeli newspaper Globes reported that the Greek airlines Bluebird Airways, which is partially owned by Israelis and had earlier announced that it would soon resume its flights, also found it difficult to resume its flights.

Many airlines around the world have suspended their services to Israel and revised their flight schedules to avoid Israeli airspace in an attempt to ensure the safety of passengers, amid growing security concerns in the region.
