The Hamas Movement said the Israeli claims about using Abu Hussein School for resistance purposes are merely systematic lies aimed at justifying its genocidal crime against the displaced.
The Israeli occupation army committed a heinous massacre on Thursday afternoon, in which 24 citizens were killed and over 150 others were wounded, including women and children, after bombing Abu Hussein School in Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, which houses hundreds of displaced persons.
In a statement on Thursday, Hamas considered Abu Hussein School massacre “a crime of genocide for which the occupation bears full responsibility and consequences.”
Hamas reiterated its call on the Arab and Islamic countries, the international community, and the UN to take immediate action to stop the genocide committed by the Nazi occupation in the Gaza Strip, which threatens peace and security throughout the region.
Commenting on Abu Hussein School’s massacre, the Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza revealed that the occupation army knew that the school was sheltering thousands of displaced children and women before bombing it.
The GMO added that this massacre raises the number of the bombed shelters and displacement centers to 192 centers sheltering hundreds of thousands of the displaced.
The Office condemned the massacre and called on all countries of the world to condemn the Israeli ongoing crimes against the displaced, civilians, children, and women.
Medical sources reported that 24 martyrs and 150 injuries, most of them children, arrived at Kamal Adwan Hospital from the Abu Hussein School.
