Violent clashes broke out on Friday evening between Palestinian young men and Israeli forces in al-Arroub refugee camp, north of al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank
According to local sources, Israeli troops stormed al-Arroub camp and attacked local youths who planned to organize a march following the Maghrib (sunset) prayer in mourning for martyr Yehya as-Sinwar, head of Hamas’s political bureau.
A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that Israeli forces stormed the main road and western area of the camp, gathered near the Omar Ibn al-Khattab Mosque, and opened fire into the air and at walls of some homes.
No one was reportedly hurt during the events in the camp, but eyewitnesses said that Israeli soldiers assaulted and kidnaped a child during the clashes.
