Khalil al-Hayya, the head of Hamas in Gaza, said that the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation army in Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza is a new chapter of Nazi-like atrocities. In an interview with Al Jazeera TV at dawn Sunday, he emphasized that the Israeli massacre in Beit Lahiya must not go unnoticed, urging Arab and Islamic masses to lay siege to the US and Israeli embassies.

He added, “We must remind everyone of their historical responsibility regarding the criminal massacres committed by the Zionist occupation in Gaza.” Al-Hayya pointed out that the Israeli occupation is systematically trying to displace the Palestinian people from northern Gaza. He affirmed, “Our people in Gaza will not respond to the Israeli Generals’ Plan for displacement.”

In a related statement, Ezzat Al-Resheq, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, said they will not tire of urging the people to escalate their movements against “the Zionist enemy” and its allies in the war. He remarked that if the occupation’s embassies had been continually pressured around the world since the massacre at the Baptist hospital, would the enemy have dared to carry out the Beit Lahiya massacre early today?

He stressed that the enemy is devoid of humanity, acting instead like a “savage creature” that only responds when harmed, adding: “If not now, then when?!”

In a previous statement, Hamas declared that Arab silence and international inaction have encouraged the criminal Israeli occupation regime to commit more crimes and massacres to empty northern Gaza of its inhabitants. It noted that Israel is racing against time with its atrocities against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the latest being the brutal and indiscriminate bombing that targeted a densely populated area in Beit Lahiya.

Hamas called on Arab and Islamic countries, the United Nations, and all relevant international bodies to take effective action to stop this holocaust perpetrated by the new Nazis, which will have significant repercussions on regional security and peace.

The Movement reiterated that the Arab silence and international inaction have emboldened the fascist criminal enemy to commit more crimes, demanding effective action to halt this massacre.

Furthermore, it called on Arab and Islamic peoples and the free people of the world to apply more pressure on governments and international organizations to move beyond condemnation and take responsibility for stopping this massacre being committed by Israel, which operates with impunity under American cover.

Approximately 73 citizens were martyred, and 100 others were injured in a bloody massacre carried out by the Israeli occupation forces late Saturday when their warplanes bombed a residential area in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza. Local sources reported that the occupation’s warplanes launched intense airstrikes on Beit Lahiya, completely destroying a residential block, leading to the martyrdom of around 73 citizens and injuring dozens, with many still trapped under the rubble.
