The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed Friday morning Kamal Adwan Hospital in the Beit Lahia Project in northern Gaza and forced the patients to gather in its square.

Local sources told the PIC correspondent that the IOF bombed at dawn hours, Kamal Adwan Hospital, before advancing and storming it.

The sources added that the IOF ordered the patients and medical staff to gather in the hospital’s square, separated men from women and assaulted a number of medical personnel before they arrested all the detained men for investigation.

The IOF stormed the hospital several hours after the arrival of an international delegation last night which delivered small quantities of fuel and medicines before leaving.

The Civil Defense spokesman in Gaza revealed that more than 150 sick people along with medical personnel were trapped at the hospital.

The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital Hussam Abu Safiya said on Thursday evening, the hospital was subjected to Israeli direct targeting, resulting in severe damage, especially in the intensive care department.

In press statements, he affirmed that the IOF refused to evacuate the patients and to allow the entry of medical aid.

Dr. Abu Safiya pointed out that there are more than 15 cases in urgent need for surgeries, noting that the medical team is unable to perform those surgeries due to the lack of capabilities and the arrest of most surgeons.

The IOF soldiers are still besieging the hospital and preventing the arrival of the necessary aid, which constitutes a deliberate murder against the sick who need urgent medical care, he added.

He earlier told Al-Jazeera that the windows of patients’ rooms in the hospital were destroyed due to relentless Israeli shelling.

For the 21st day, Jabalia camp and Beit Lahia in northern Gaza have been under Israeli siege and starvation amid violent air and artillery shelling.
