The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, said that the Israeli occupation army’s targeting of the residence of journalists in the town of Hasbaya, southern Lebanon, early this Friday morning—resulting in the martyrdom of three journalists and injuring four others—constitutes a deliberate war crime and organized state terrorism.

Hamas emphasized in a statement that the occupation seeks to silence journalists and erase the voices documenting its crimes by pursuing and killing journalists from Gaza to Lebanon, all under the watchful eye of the world, which remains silent.

Hamas expressed its condolences to the families of the martyrs: Wessam Qassem, a photographer for Al-Manar TV; Ghassan Najjar, a photographer for Al-Mayadeen; and Mohammed Reda, a broadcasting engineer at Al-Mayadeen. The Movement also extended its condolences to the channels Al-Manar and Al-Mayadeen.

The Movement called on international press and human rights organizations to condemn this deliberate targeting of journalists and to demand punitive measures against the Israeli entity for its crimes against media personnel in Palestine and Lebanon.

For the 31st consecutive day, the Israeli occupation army continues its military aggression and barbaric war on Lebanon, conducting airstrikes and artillery shelling on various areas of the country, including the capital Beirut.
