Lebanese MP Firas Hamdan said on Thursday that the Israeli occupation army refuses to allow ambulances’ entry to rescue civilians trapped in the Wata al-Khiam area, most of whom are children and women.

The Israeli enemy refuses to grant permission for ambulances to enter and rescue 20 civilians, mostly children and women, in the Wata al-Khiyam area, the Lebanese MP said in his X account.

“These individuals have been trapped under the rubble for 72 hours, with no serious efforts to save them, and under a media blackout imposed by the enemy.”

“I have reached out to UNIFIL, the Lebanese Army, and both the International and Lebanese Red Cross. So far, the answer remains the same: no permission from the Israeli enemy to allow any access for evacuation, whether they are injured or deceased.”

MP Hamdan appealed to the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government, and all relevant organizations to take swift action to enable rescue teams to access conflict zones as stipulated by the provisions of international humanitarian law.
