The third phase of the polio vaccination campaign in Gaza governorate for children under the age of ten is set to begin on Saturday, according to an announcement by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The Ministry of Health said on its Facebook page on Friday that “vaccination will be limited to children in the Gaza Governorate”, elaborating that achieving the vaccination in northern Gaza is unlikely, as conditions there get worse every day due to the ongoing Israeli aggression. “The vaccination date in northern Gaza will be announced later,” it pointed out.
On October 14, the second round of polio vaccination began in Central Gaza, then moved to southern Gaza, and will begin on Saturday in Gaza governorate, but not in northern Gaza, which has been under Israeli siege and ethnic cleansing operations since October 5.
