Palestinian photojournalist Bilal Rajab was killed when an Israeli airstrike targeted a group of citizens in the vicinity of the popular Firas Market, west of Palestine Square in the center of Gaza City on Friday.
Al-Quds al-Youm TV mourned its photojournalist “who was martyred in an Israeli targeting of Gaza City.”
The total number of journalists and media workers who have been killed in Gaza since October 7, 2023, now stands at 183.
In turn, the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip condemned the Israeli deliberate targeting of Palestinian journalists.
It called on the international community to intervene to stop the killing of Palestinian journalists reporting on the war in Gaza, which is the deadliest conflict for media workers.
