The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) forced a Palestinian citizen to demolish a residential room and an agricultural structure in the east Jerusalem district of Issawiya on Sunday at the pretext of unlicensed construction.

According to local sources, the Israeli municipality in Jerusalem ordered Dirar Darwish to raze a room and an agricultural facility at his own expense to avoid paying exorbitant demolition fees and fines if its crews carried out the measure.

Meanwhile, the IOA razed a swath of land belonging to the family of Aliyan in Beit Safafa town, east of Jerusalem.

In another incident, Israeli police officers stormed al-Bustan neighborhood in the east Jerusalem district of Silwan and took measurements of some homes, seemingly as a prelude to demolishing them.

The IOA imposes building restrictions on the Palestinian natives in east Jerusalem and makes it hard for them to obtain construction licenses.

Israel’s systematic demolition of Palestinian homes in Occupied Jerusalem is believed to be aimed at psychologically destroying the Jerusalemite families in an attempt to force them to move from the holy city.
