Dozens of Jordanian activists are on hunger strike for the 12th day on Tuesday demanding their government to exert pressure to end the Israeli siege on Gaza especially in the northern areas.

Organizers of the hunger strike said on Monday that the health situation of those on hunger strike has deteriorated, noting, however, that they are adamant on continuing in their strike.

The hunger strikers said that they resorted to hunger strike after the Jordanian government refused to heed any of their previous protests demanding serious pressures on Israel to end its genocide in Gaza and the starvation policy.

They expressed belief that breaking the Israeli siege could be done if there was a serious endeavor on the part of the government.

Around 80 Jordanian youths had started their open hunger strike on November 1, demanding closure of all border points with Israel until the siege on Gaza is lifted and humanitarian aid allowed into the beleaguered enclave.
