A number of citizens suffered from teargas fumes on Wednesday during clashes with Israeli occupation forces (IOF) north of Al-Khalil, while settlers attacked a Bedouin gathering in Jericho and bulldozed a piece of land.
Local sources reported that clashes erupted between citizens and the Israeli troops at the entrance of the town of Beit Ummar, following demolitions carried out by the IOF this morning.
The demolitions affected two houses and a number of facilities in several neighborhoods in the town. During the confrontations, Israeli occupation soldiers fired bullets and tear gas grenades at the citizens, leaving a number of them suffering from suffocation. They were treated in the field.
Meanwhile, Israeli settlers stormed a Bedouin gathering north of the city of Jericho and bulldozed a land in preparation for seizing it.
Hassan Melihat, the general supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, reported that a group of settlers stormed the Ras Ein Al-Auja gathering under the protection of the IOF.
He added that the attacking settlers roamed among the citizens’ homes, destroyed their property, and broke the glass of an agricultural tractor owned by citizen Hussein Rashayda.
