The Palestinian Civil Defense revealed the losses it incurred in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli brutal war on the Strip.
The Civil Defense said in a statement on Monday, it has lost 85 of its crews as martyrs, in addition to the injury of 301 others, and the arrest of 20 members.
It stated that the total number of completely and partially destroyed centers and headquarters reached 17 facilities, including 14 completely destroyed centers and three others partially damaged.
The Civil Defense added that the number of damaged vehicles reached 56, including the complete destruction of 12 fire-and-rescue vehicles, two rapid intervention rescue vehicles, four water tanker vehicles, eight ambulances, a hydraulic rescue ladder vehicle, and 13 administrative vehicles, while partially destroyed vehicles included 11 fire-and-rescue vehicles, three ambulance vehicles, and two water tanker vehicles.
It also pointed out that the Israeli occupation army hit civil defense centers six times and its crews 17 times in direct attacks.
The Israeli occupation army destroyed the civil defense stock of firefighting, rescue, and ambulance equipment worth one million and three hundred thousand dollars, it highlighted.
On October 23, 2024, the Israeli occupation took the civil defense system out of service in northern Gaza and forced its crews to move to central and southern Gaza.
