The Israeli occupation army targeted on Monday military sites in Tartus, west of Syria, in a series of airstrikes described as the most violent since the fall of the Syrian regime.

According to Sham network, Israeli warplanes launched new airstrikes that hit missile bases in Battalion 107 in the Zama area and weapons warehouses in the countryside of Latakia and Tartous, causing a series of powerful explosions.

Footage showed violent explosions resulting from the Israeli raids, which affected several military sites and vital facilities off the Syrian coast.

Israel has recently escalated its attacks on Syria, targeting military sites in different parts of the country, in a flagrant violation of its sovereignty.

Israel also declared the collapse of the 1974 disengagement agreement with Syria, and the spread of its army in the buffer zone in the Syrian Golan Heights, most of which has been occupied since 1967, in a move condemned by the United Nations and some Arab countries.
