Israeli warplanes launched on Tuesday airstrikes targeting military depots in the countryside of Homs, Hama in central Syria and in Quneitra and the capital Damascus, southwest of the country, as part of the Israeli systematic destruction of military capabilities in Syria.

Sources of the monitoring and follow-up units affiliated with the Syrian interim government said the Israeli warplanes launched intensive airstrikes targeting Tadmur military airport and weapons depots in the desert of the city of Tadmur in the eastern countryside of Homs.

Other targeted sites include the “Brigade 87” in the eastern countryside of Hama, central Syria, a military unit and weapons depots in the vicinity of the Al-Dimas area, the Qaldoun warehouses in the eastern Qalamoun, and warehouses near the Sayyida Zeinab area in rural Damascus, in addition to targeting a military unit in rural Quneitra, south of the country.

On Sunday morning, Israeli warplanes launched about 20 raids that hit various military sites in Tartous Governorate.

Since the downfall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria on December 8, the Israeli army has launched more than 500 airstrikes on the country, destroying most of the military infrastructure in Syria.
