Qatar’s prime minister and foreign minister Mohamed bin Abdul-Rahman discussed yesterday with a high-level delegation from the Hamas Movement led by senior official Khalil al-Hayya the latest developments regarding the ceasefire talks over Gaza.
In a statement on Saturday, Qatar’s foreign ministry said that the prime minister explored avenues to advance the ceasefire talks during a meeting with a Hamas delegation in order to reach a clear and comprehensive agreement that ends the ongoing Isreli war on the Gaza Strip.
Last Wednesday, the Hamas Movement said that the recent ceasefire and prisoner exchange talks held in Doha was delayed due to new Israeli conditions.
In a brief statement, Hamas said it was flexible and responsible during the current ceasefire and prisoner exchange negotiations in Doha, which were also mediated by Cairo.
