A Palestinian elderly man suffered head injuries after a horde of extremist Jewish settlers savagely assaulted him last night in Masafer Yatta, south of al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank.
Local official Rateb al-Jabour said that the settler attack happened in Quwaiwis area near Shaab al-Batm in Masafer Yatta, adding that the wounded elderly, Khaled an-Najjar, was transferred to the Abul-Hasan al-Qasem Hospital in Yatta.
Settler violence against Palestinians is a daily issue in the West Bank. Instead of taking action to combat their crimes, the Israeli military and security authorities aid and abet settlers in harming Palestinians, destroying their property and seizing their lands.
Settlers carry out a variety of crimes against Palestinians under military protection, including physical assaults, stone throwing, threats and harassment, damaging of trees and crops, vandalism of cars and property, blocking of roads and even firing of live ammunition.
