The Ministry of Interior and National Security in Gaza announced on Saturday that its agencies will begin deployment in all governorates of the Gaza Strip and fulfill their “sacred duty to serve our people as soon as the ceasefire agreement takes effect.”
In a statement, the ministry indicated that this step comes in light of “the legendary steadfastness of our Palestinian people in all their components and spectrums during this historical epic, following the announcement of the ceasefire agreement to end the Israeli war of extermination and aggression against our people.”
The ministry congratulated the Palestinian people in general, and particularly in the Gaza Strip, on the ceasefire agreement that ends the Israeli occupation’s war “initiated against our people in the Strip over 15 months ago, during which it committed various crimes that shame humanity.” This brutal war is the greatest crime committed against an unarmed people in modern times, it added.
The ministry mourned the tens of thousands of Palestinian citizens who fell as martyrs in this brutal war, praying that “Allah grants their families patience and solace, and that He bestows a swift recovery on the injured and wounded, and freedom for the prisoners in the occupation’s jails.”
The ministry emphasized that the legendary steadfastness of the people in the Gaza Strip has thwarted all the goals of the criminal extermination war, reaffirming that “our people are more deserving of survival and building the future for their generations than a barbaric occupation that will inevitably fade away.”
It added, “The blood of our children, women, and the innocent will remain a stain on the conscience of humanity, which will never be erased no matter how much time passes, and it will remain a witness to the barbarity of the occupation and its supporters, and the rightful claim of our Palestinian people to their land, watered with the blood of their sons.”
Furthermore, the Ministry of Interior and National Security noted that in this historical epic recorded by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the finest of its leaders and members offered their lives in the service of the steadfast people. Despite the brutality of the aggression, its harshness, and its transgressions of all prohibitions, norms, and humanitarian and international laws, the leaders, officers, and members of the ministry’s agencies fulfilled the oath they took to serve their people and homeland, and their blood and souls stand as new evidence of their true belonging and loyalty to this great people.
It pointed out that the occupation focused on targeting the Ministry of Interior and National Security, attempting to undermine one of the factors of the Palestinian people’s resilience in the face of aggression. Despite the heavy price the ministry paid in the loss of its best leaders and members, it continued to work with all available means under extremely complicated circumstances while confronting the occupation’s plans to spread chaos and disorder within Palestinian society in the Strip, it added.
Finally, the ministry called on all citizens to maintain public and private property and to avoid any actions that may endanger their lives. It urged them to cooperate with the officers and members of the police, security, and service agencies, in the interest of their safety and security, and encouraged them to adhere to all directives and instructions that will be issued by the relevant authorities in the ministry’s agencies in the coming days.
