At least 13 Palestinian citizens were injured on Sunday afternoon when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked Palestinian citizens in the Old City of Nablus, north of the West Bank, and blocked its entrances.
According to local and medical sources, 12 civilians, including an elderly man and some children, suffered different bullet injuries when Israeli forces opened fire at them in the Old City of Nablus.
The Red Crescent said that two of the wounded people were taken to hospitals with moderate to serious injuries.
Another citizen also suffered injuries when an IOF vehicle ran over him in the Old City, while many others suffered from their exposure to tear gas during skirmishes with the invading troops.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli soldiers obstructed the movement of ambulances as they were trying to help and evacuate the wounded in the city.
One young man was kidnaped by the IOF from the Old City of Nablus. He was identified as Jamal Halawa.
Earlier, local sources reported hearing explosions and gunshots after Israeli special forces stormed in the morning the Old City and encircled a house in Habes ad-Dam neighborhood.
Thick columns of smoke were seen billowing from the house after IOF reinforcements stormed the Old City and targeted it with projectiles, amid drone overflights.
