Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched at dawn Friday a raid and arrest campaign in Nablus in the West Bank, amid tightened security measures including inspecting vehicles and checking citizens’ IDs.
The IOF arrested two young men from the village of Yetma, south of Nablus, stormed and raided a number of houses, and searched them and tampered with their contents.
This comes in light of the ongoing tightened security measures at military checkpoints in the vicinity of Nablus city, amid an inspection campaign for vehicles and citizens’ identities.
The IOF closed this morning the Serra checkpoint, west of the city, and blocked traffic at the barrier.
Earlier, the IOF installed other checkpoints on the Al-Bathan-Nablus Road, and on Road 17, north of Nablus, just days ago.
The IOF has so far installed ten military barriers in the vicinity of Nablus city, in addition to erecting more than 38 iron gates, and closing about 47 areas with dirt berms.
