Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished a number of homes and residential buildings on Saturday in Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem city in northern West Bank.

Local sources reported that the occupation army deployed heavy bulldozers of the D10 type to the camp and began the process of demolishing homes and destroying the surrounding areas, starting from the vicinity of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque, amidst intense low-flying reconnaissance aircraft.

The sources pointed out that the demolitions came after the IOF issued a notice five days ago to demolish 11 homes under the pretext of constructing a road that begins from the camp square towards Al-Manshiyah neighborhood. They noted that the total number of homes demolished in Nur Shams camp had reached 30.

On the second day after the notice, the IOF gave the owners of the targeted homes three hours to enter the camp and evacuate their belongings and necessities from their homes.

On Friday evening, the IOF expelled Palestinians from their homes in Nur Shams camp, east of Tulkarem. Local sources stated that the occupation continued its acts of forced displacement against the camp’s residents, particularly in the Al-Nasr neighborhood, and forced dozens of them to leave their homes immediately under threat of firearms, while firing in the air to terrorize citizens.

Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression against camps in northern West Bank, with ongoing destruction and seizure of homes, displacement of residents, and preventing their return.
