The Hamas Movement has reiterated its call for the Arab and Islamic countries to take concrete and effective measures to support the Palestinian people and bolster their resilience against the “fascist” Israeli occupation’s plans, which aim to undermine their national cause and consolidate its control over their land.
This came in a statement released on Saturday, in which Hamas welcomed the emergency meeting of the 57-member Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which was held at its headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday.
Hamas applauded the decisions taken during the OIC meeting, especially the endorsement of the Arab League’s plan to rebuild Gaza without displacing its population.
Hamas also praised the participating foreign ministers’ speeches that called for making intensive efforts to end the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians and other countries in the region.
The Movement called for taking action to curb Israel’s violations against the Islamic holy sites in Palestine, especially the Aqsa Mosque.
It also called on the Arab and Islamic countries, their peoples, and institutions to assume their responsibilities towards the suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza and take immediate action to provide them with humanitarian aid.
