A number of Palestinian citizens were injured on Saturday evening when a horde of extremist Jewish settlers attacked them in Masafer Yatta, south of al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources, armed settlers from the illegal settlement of Susya stormed, under military protection, the Bedouin community of Wadi Jehaish in Masafer Yatta region. They savagely assaulted families, including children and women, during the time of Iftar (the fast-breaking evening meal of Muslims in Ramadan).
A number of the Wadi Jehaish residents were reportedly injured in the settler attack.
The settlers also destroyed several trees near the community before leaving the area.
In a separate incident, Israeli soldiers detained a shepherd with special needs as he was grazing his sheep near his home in Qawawis hamlet in Masafer Yatta.
Earlier, another group of settlers blocked the road to al-Minya village in the southeast of Bethlehem with rocks as local residents were heading for their swaths of land to plant olive saplings.
Since the October 7, 2023 events, Jewish settlers living illegally in the West Bank have significantly escalated their attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property.
