Child martyr, woman injured by Israeli gunfire in Northern Gaza

A child was martyred and a civilian was injured on Saturday evening by Israeli occupation gunfire in the town of Beit Lahiya, north of the Gaza Strip, in a new violation of the ceasefire agreement. Medical sources reported that “the child, Yamen al-Hamlaawi, was martyred due to a gunshot wound to the head, while a woman was injured by a bullet in the back in Beit Lahiya.”

In Rafah, south of the Strip, a citizen was injured by Israeli occupation gunfire while near Hamza Mosque in Khirbat al-Adas, north of the city. An Israeli drone also opened fire on worshippers in a mosque during the Maghrib prayer and iftar time.

Additionally, eight Palestinians were injured due to the explosion of a bomb dropped by an Israeli drone on a tent in the al-Shakush area of Rafah. Earlier, nine citizens, including three journalists, were martyred when the occupation army targeted a group of citizens in Beit Lahiya, bringing the number of martyrs since the ceasefire agreement took effect on January 19 to 150.

Local sources reported that an Israeli drone struck a vehicle and a group of citizens in Beit Lahiya, resulting in the martyrdom of nine citizens, including three journalists, while others were injured and transferred to the Indonesian Hospital.

The total number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip since the onset of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, has risen to 48,543, along with 111,981 injured, while many victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, unable to be reached by rescue and ambulance teams.
