Dozens of Palestinian journalists organized on Wednesday a protest against the Israeli occupation’s continuous crimes against their colleagues in Gaza.
The journalists waved banners that read: “Stop killing the guards of the truth”, “Israel killed 208 journalists”, and “The coverage continues”.
The journalists, who wore press uniforms, held a picture of the martyr, colleague Mahmoud Mansour, who was killed two days ago while covering news on the ground.
The Israeli occupation deliberately targets Palestinian journalists in the Gaza Strip systematically, in a vile attempt to silence them and prevent them from conveying the truth to the world.
These journalists, who stand on the frontlines of the bombardment and destruction, have become a constant target for killing and threatening by Israeli occupation forces.
The Government Media Office announced that the number of journalists martyred since the beginning of the genocidal war that has been ongoing for more than 16 months has risen to 208 journalists.
