The Hamas Movement has described the forced evacuation of Rafah residents in southern Gaza by the Israeli occupation army, under the pressure of bombardment and massacres, as another “war crime” and a “serious escalation in the war on Gaza.”
“The forced evacuation of Rafah residents that is being carried out by the Zionist occupation army amidst relentless bombardment and massacres and the resultant displacement of tens of thousands of innocent people constitute a stark violation of international law and international humanitarian law. It is a full-fledged forced displacement and ethnic cleansing crime,” Hamas said in a statement on Monday.
“This latest crime aims to deepen the suffering of our defenseless people and exacerbate the catastrophic humanitarian conditions they are enduring due to the genocide, siege, and starvation,” Hamas added.
The Movement appealed to the Arab and Islamic countries, the UN, and the international community to take immediate action and pressure the Israeli government to stop its ongoing crimes against the Palestinians in Gaza.
