Far-right Israeli security minister Itamar Ben Gvir and groups of settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday morning — marking yet another provocation during the ongoing brutal war on Gaza.
According to local sources, Ben Gvir, accompanied by rabbi Shimshon Elboim, head of the so-called temple mount administration, stormed the Mosque and toured its courtyards under heavy police escort.
The Israeli occupation police reportedly expelled Islamic Awqaf guards and Muslim worshipers from the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards as Ben Gvir and his companions defiled the Islamic holy site.
In the morning, hordes of extremist Jewish settlers resumed their break-ins at the Aqsa Mosque after a two-week hiatus during the Muslims’ last 10 days of Ramadan and the three-day Eid al-Fitr holiday.
One of the settlers was seen wearing a T-Shirt featuring the alleged Jewish temple as he toured the Mosque’s courtyards.
During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them, including Ben Gvir and Elboim, provocatively performed Talmudic prayers.
