The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) published a video documenting the assault by Israeli soldiers on one of its crews operating in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

In a brief statement on Friday evening, the PRCS said that this video was “during the assault by the occupation forces on the Red Crescent ambulance crew in Beit Furik.”

The video, circulated on social media, showed two Israeli military vehicles intercepting an ambulance belonging to the Red Crescent, which was driving with its emergency lights on. The footage also documented the moment two soldiers got out of one of the vehicles, with one approaching the ambulance and verbally assaulting the crew before later punching the driver.

The video showed the soldier forcing the ambulance driver to change his route and return under the threat of the weapon pointed at him.

On March 23, the occupation army committed a massacre against 15 paramedics from the Red Crescent and Civil Defense respondents, burying them in pits in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. The Israeli army initially claimed it fired after vehicles approached in the dark without markings, but changed its narrative after a video emerged showing ambulances and fire trucks with clear markings and their lights on, coming under gunfire.
