Israeli settlers carried out overnight and early Tuesday several attacks, targeting Palestinians and their properties in several areas in Ramallah and Salfit governorates in the West Bank.
The attacking settlers stormed a garage in the town of Um Safa, northwest of Ramallah, smashing one of the garage’s windows, destroying the contents of the garage and seizing all the equipment in it.
Last month, settlers attacked the same garage and set it on fire, destroying three vehicles in the resultant fire.
Settlers have recently seized hundreds of dunums in the southern area of Um Safa, aiming at turning it into a pastoral settlement outpost, amid fears of displacing the residents to establish a large settlement complex in its place.
The area of Um Safa is estimated at 4,000 dunums, of which only 300 dunums are left for the Palestinians, due to the occupation expansion policy which allowed the seizure of vast areas of the town’s land.
Meanwhile, settlers closed the entrance of Deir Jarir town, east of Ramallah, and obstructed the movement of citizens in order to place a bulldozer on the road between Deir Jarir and Silwad, which started bulldozing operations on citizens’ lands to the west.
In Salfit, settlers stormed the town of Kefel Haris, northwest of the city, and smashed the vehicle of Mahmoud Buziya.
Kefel Haris town witnesses frequent settler raids, targeting citizens’ homes and property.
