Hamas Movement said the intensive raids on civilians throughout the Gaza Strip are part of the “Israeli occupation’s daily massacres carried out against our people, leading to the martyrdom of dozens of innocent civilians every day, in a continuous scene of genocide and ethnic cleansing.”

Hamas affirmed in a press statement on Monday that “these crimes constitute a blatant message of defiance from the criminal enemy’s government to the international community, especially with the International Court of Justice convening today to discuss Israel’s obligations towards our people as an occupying power”.

It stressed that Israel’s disregard for international law and the United Nations and its institutions, and the war criminal Netanyahu government’s insistence on continuing its brutal annihilation operations in the Strip, require urgent and effective action.

Hamas called for deterring “Israel’s terrorism and fascism, holding war criminals accountable for their crimes against humanity, and supporting our people’s right to freedom and self-determination.”

For its part, the Government Media Office in Gaza (GMO) warned, in a statement on Monday, of widespread cases of severe malnutrition in the Strip, especially among children and infants, amid the ongoing Israeli war of extermination, the closure of crossings, and the prevention of aid.

The GMO announced that the number of severe malnutrition cases that reached the remaining hospitals and medical centers has reached 65,000, out of 1.1 million children in the Gaza Strip who suffer from daily hunger.

It pointed out that Israel is using starvation and thirst as a systematic weapon of war, targeting life in the Gaza Strip, in flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian laws and conventions.

The GMO held Israel fully responsible for the worsening humanitarian disaster and for putting the lives of hundreds of thousands of children, women, and the elderly in grave danger due to shortages of food, medicine, and water.

It also held the international community and its institutions responsible for their silence on these crimes and for failing to take deterrent measures to hold the Israeli officials accountable for their brutal and continuous violations.

The Office renewed its demands for the immediate and unconditional opening of all crossings into the Gaza Strip, calling for the delivery of humanitarian aid, food supplements, and medicine, especially for children and the sick, to save lives and prevent the catastrophic humanitarian collapse.
