The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that humanitarian aid supposed to be brought into the Gaza Strip is being spoiled, while hunger is worsening among the population due to the continued closure of crossings.
UNRWA added in statements that around 3,000 trucks loaded with basic supplies remain stuck and waiting to be allowed into the Strip, warning that these supplies are intended for those in need and will spoil over time.
UNRWA called for the immediate lifting of the Israeli blockade, stressing that the humanitarian suffering in Gaza is worsening day by day, amid the ongoing aggression and the depletion of food and water.
The Gaza Strip is facing its worst humanitarian crisis in more than 18 months as a result of the ongoing Israeli war of extermination and blockade, which has exacerbated the health and living conditions of civilians in general, and women and children in particular, in light of an increase in cases of malnutrition and miscarriages in addition to the need for incubators.
