The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that the death toll in the Israeli war of genocide against the Gaza Strip has risen to 52,365 martyrs while 117,905 others were wounded since October 7, 2023.
In its daily statistical report, the ministry said on Tuesday that Gaza hospitals received 51 bodies of martyrs, including a recovered body from under the rubble, in addition to 113 injuries in the past 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli genocidal war.
The ministry elaborated that the death toll since Israel resumed its genocide against the Strip on March 18 has risen to 2,273 martyrs while 5,864 others were wounded, bringing the total number of victims of the ongoing war for 18 months to 170,270 martyrs and wounded.
It noted that a number of victims remain under the rubble of destroyed houses and on the roads, as ambulance crews and civil defense teams cannot reach them.
In early March, the first phase of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel, which began on January 19, 2025 with Egyptian and Qatari mediation and US support, came to an end.
On March 18, Israel reneged on the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that had been in effect since January 19 and resumed its war of genocide against the Gaza Strip, despite Hamas’s commitment to all terms of the agreement.
