The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has praised the “blessed strikes” carried out by “Ansar Allah” and the Yemeni army deep inside the “Zionist entity”.
In a statement issued Sunday, Hamas said that the missile strike launched by the Yemeni Armed Forces on Ben Gurion Airport, in the heart of Tel Aviv, reflects Yemen’s unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause and its sincere determination to stand with the oppressed Palestinian people — despite the ongoing “barbaric U.S.-Zionist aggression against Yemen.”
Hamas saluted the people and leadership of Yemen for their courage and for continuing to support the Palestinian people in Gaza, who are facing genocide.
“We affirm our full solidarity with Yemen in the face of this brutal American-Zionist aggression,” the statement added.
Hamas called on all components of the Arab and Islamic nations to shoulder their historic responsibilities in supporting Palestine, defending the Palestinian people who are facing systematic genocide and starvation in Gaza, and to join the battle to defend the sacred sites of the Ummah and confront the fascist Israeli occupation’s schemes to dominate the region and control its peoples and resources.
Earlier, Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades — the armed wing of Hamas — extended his greetings to Yemen, appreciating its defiance against some of the world’s most oppressive forces and its refusal to yield.
He said on his Telegram channel Sunday: “Glory to Yemen, the twin of Palestine, as it continues to challenge the most tyrannical powers and refuses to submit or break, despite the aggression it faces. It escalates its attacks in the heart of the Zionist entity, surpassing the world’s most advanced defense systems to strike its targets with precision.”
The Israeli air defense systems failed to intercept a hypersonic missile launched by the Yemeni Armed Forces, which directly struck Ben Gurion Airport.
Israel’s Army Radio quoted a military source as saying that the American THAAD and Israeli Arrow systems attempted to intercept the Yemeni missile but failed, forcing thousands of Israelis to flee to bomb shelters.
Israeli Channel 12 reported that the missile bypassed four layers of air defense and landed in the heart of the airport, creating a crater 25 meters deep. It noted that the missile’s warhead was “extremely large,” causing a massive wave of explosions.
