A Palestinian young man was killed after allegedly carrying out a car-ramming attack near the “Sida al-Fahs” checkpoint, south of al-Khalil, in the occupied West Bank. An Israeli soldier was injured in the alleged attack.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health was informed by the General Authority for Civil Affairs of the killing of Abdul Fattah Ahed Ahmad Haribat, 20, after being shot by Israeli forces near al-Khalil.
Following the incident, Israeli forces raided the home of the martyr’s family in the town of Dura, south of the city, and assaulted all those inside.
Hebrew-language media had earlier reported that a soldier sustained minor injuries in a car-ramming attack near al-Khalil. The driver was subsequently shot and critically wounded before succumbing to his injuries, the sources added.
