Monday 16-January-2017

At least 11 Palestinian activists affiliated with Hamas were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) from the central West Bank province of Ramallah at daybreak Monday.

A PIC news correspondent said the IOF rolled into Ramallah and kidnapped the Palestinian MP Ahmad Mubarak Abu Malek affiliated with Hamas along with the Hamas leader Sheikh Falah Abu al-Taher.

According to PIC data at least six Palestinian MPs are held in Israeli jails.

The campaign targeted eight other anti-occupation and pro-Hamas activists.

Ex-prisoner Mohamed al-Qeiq was also kidnapped by the occupation soldiers at a military checkpoint pitched in the area.

The IOF further stormed al-Khalil’s northern town of Beit Ummar in the southern West Bank and wreaked havoc on civilian homes.

18-year-old Abd Nasser Abu Maria was kidnapped by the occupation soldiers shortly following the assault and was dragged handcuffed and blindfolded to an unidentified destination.

At the same time the Israeli military forces broke into al-Arroub refugee camp to the north of al-Khalil and rummaged into Palestinian homes before they ravaged a workshop and seized all of its equipment.
