Ten Jerusalemites including a child were injured with rubber bullets as Israeli police snipers fired rubber-coated bullets and teargas during clashes that erupted near Bab al-Silsila of the Aqsa Mosque after the Friday prayer.
“Israeli snipers fired rubber bullets at the youths from the roof of the Al-Tankazeyah School (Israeli police station) in Bab al-Silsila” the PIC correspondent reported.
All the injuries were sustained in the upper part of the body according to Medics without Borders.
158 Palestinians were injured by bullets or suffered breathing problems after Israeli police forces attacked the Palestinian worshippers in Al-Aqsa Mosque. At least 400 Palestinians were arrested during the dawn assault on the holy Islamic site.
