Violent clashes erupted on Monday night and at dawn Tuesday between Israeli police and Palestinians in al-Issawiya town east of Occupied Jerusalem.
During the confrontations the occupation police fired tear gas canisters and rubber-coated bullets at the citizens. Ten Palestinians were injured with rubber bullets and suffered breathing problems.
According to Hebrew media sources five Israeli policemen were wounded. Two of the injured were taken to a hospital for treatment while the others were treated in the field.
The occupation police used a vehicle to spray wastewater to facilitate their entry into the town and break the roadblocks that the youths built.
Tariq Ubaid 21 was arrested from his home in al-Issawiya after raiding his house and destroying its contents.
In al-Tur town the Israeli police arrested Rabi al-Sayyad and Eid Shabana after storming their homes searching them and tampering with their contents.
