A number of Palestinian civilians sustained wounds early on Wednesday as the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) broke into the Qalandiya camp and demolished Palestinian structures.
According to local sources violent clashes flared up shortly after the IOF rolled into Qalandiya camp in northern Occupied Jerusalem and knocked down Palestinian commercial shops near the Qalandiya checkpoint.
At least 10 Palestinian protesters sustained bullet wounds after the IOF showered the area with randomly-shot spates of bullet fire.
The attack occurred shortly after the IOF escorted by two bulldozers and police jeeps rolled into the camp and razed 11 Palestinian shops to the ground.
The IOF further climbed over the rooftops of Palestinian civilian homes deluging the area with teargas grenades.
Palestinian gunmen reportedly showed up at the scene in an attempt to thwart the mass-demolition process.
Over recent months the occupation authorities stepped up demolition of Palestinian homes and structures in retaliation for anti-occupation attacks launched in response to Israel’s escalating terrorism across the occupied Palestinian territories.
