With the participation of noted Arab and Islamic figures the 10th Conference of Jerusalem and Palestine Pioneers was held on Friday in the Turkish City of Istanbul under the theme “A leading nation and Jerusalem is the destination
The two-day conference has been organized by the Global Coalition for Quds and Palestine in cooperation with the Turkish-Arab Relations Center (TAIM).
Opening speeches were delivered on the first day of the conference by prominent figures from Palestine and other countries including head of the Coalition and former secretary-general of the Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood Hammam Sa’eid and Hamas’s political bureau chief Ismail Haneyya.
In his speech Hammam Sa’eid expressed his belief that the Muslim nation is determined to liberate Jerusalem from the occupation affirming that “the space between the nation and Palestine became zero.”
For his part secretary-general of the Coalition Mohamed al-Adlouni said that the conference was aimed at highlighting the gravity of the deal of the century and normalization activities explaining their dangers to the nation and keeping the participants informed about the developments of the Palestinian cause.
Adlouni also said that there would be several initiatives to be adopted by the conference including a central project to support the Palestinian people and the formation of a coordination committee to confront Zionism and resist normalization of relations with Israel.
Ismail Haneyya for his part affirmed that the conference was “a strong message in the face of all conspiracies that target Jerusalem and confirmation that the nation would utilize all its capabilities to strengthen the steadfastness of the Palestinian people especially in Jerusalem and Gaza.”
