The Palestinian health ministry on Thursday reported 11 new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 2886 new positive tests and 975 recoveries in the West Bank the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report six of the victims who died of the virus are from the West Bank and five from Gaza.
52 critically ill COVID-19 patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and eight of them have been placed on ventilators.
In addition another 143 patients are receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers in the West Bank.
92.5 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 6.4 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.1 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
