The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested at dawn Thursday 12 Palestinians throughout the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli media sources claimed that 12 “wanted” Palestinians were detained for allegedly being involved in anti-occupation activities.
Four arrests were carried out in occupied Jerusalem’s Old City while two others were reported in Shufat town and Qalandia refugee camp. An ex-prisoner was among the detainees.
A Palestinian was rounded up in Silwad town in Ramallah after IOF confiscated his car while another was detained from his house in Nour al-Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem.
Meanwhile IOF soldiers in 12 military vehicles stormed Jenin city and arrested a local young man which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.
Tear gas inhalation cases were reported during the confrontations local sources told the PIC reporter.
Similar clashes were reported in Qalqilia when IOF soldiers stormed a prisoner’s house in the city.
Israeli forces carry out daily arrest campaign throughout the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem in a failed attempt to thwart the ongoing Jerusalem Intifada.
