The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday morning kidnapped 12 West Bankers including relatives of Ashraf Abu Sheikha who recently carried out a deadly shooting attack in the Barkan industrial zone near the illegal settlement of Ariel.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that the IOF stormed at dawn Shuweika suburb in Tulkarem and raided homes belonging to Abu Sheikha’s family.
Israeli soldiers maltreated and rounded up the mother of Abu Sheikha and his two sisters and said they would remain in detention until Abu Sheikha turned himself in according to the sources.
The IOF also raided several nearby homes in the same suburb and kidnapped three young men.
In Nablus the IOF stormed Asira al-Qibliya town south of Nablus and kidnapped a young man identified as Mohamed Ahmed.
Similar IOF campaigns took place in the towns al-Laban al-Sharqiya and Beita and Awarta in southern Nablus with no reported arrests.
Three other young men were reportedly kidnapped in IOF campaigns in Jaba town in Jenin and al-Fawwar refugee camp in al-Khalil.
In Bethlehem the IOF kidnapped a mother called Fadwa Abu Surur and her daughter Yasamin from their home in Aida refugee camp.
For its part the Israeli occupation army claimed its forces arrested seven wanted Palestinians in the West Bank overnight.
