12 Palestinians kidnapped homes ravaged in West Bank sweep by IOF

Wednesday 1-February-2017

At least 12 Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Wednesday in an abduction sweep rocking West Bank provinces.

The campaign targeted the occupied West Bank provinces of Nablus al-Khalil Bethlehem Ramallah and Jenin.

Reporting from Nablus a PIC news correspondent said an Israeli patrol stormed Beit Furik to the east and wreaked havoc on civilian homes.

A number of Israeli army vehicles including a bulldozer were spotted at the Beit Furik checkpoint shortly before the assault.

The occupation troops detained over 15 Palestinians and locked them up in two Palestinian homes in the area before they subjected them to intensive questioning. The arrestees were released hours later.

The IOF soldiers further broke into Jenin province and ravaged into the home of the Palestinian citizen Imad Nawahdeh in al-Yamon town to the west before they exhaustively interrogated him.

Other IOF troops combed the al-Widyan area between al-Yamon and al-Sila al-Harthiya and set up ambushes.

At predawn time Israeli army patrols had also been deployed on the Jenin-Haifa road.
