The Palestinian health ministry reported on Monday 12 new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 1256 new positive tests and 2625 recoveries in the West Bank Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report eight of the victims who died of the virus are from the West Bank two from Jerusalem and two others from Gaza.
Moreover 90 critically ill COVID-19 patients are being treated in intensive care units and 31 of them have been placed on ventilators.
An additional 160 patients are also receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers in the West Bank.
96.3 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 2.8 percent and the rate of deaths is 0.9 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
