The Palestinian health ministry on Saturday reported 12 new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 679 new positive tests and 1773 recoveries in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report six of the victims who died of the virus are from the West Bank and six others from Gaza.
Moreover 66 critically ill COVID-19 patients are being treated in intensive care units and 17 of them have been placed on ventilators.
An additional 179 patients are also receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers.
93.3 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 5.7 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.0 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
