Since the beginning of this year 2022 14 Palestinian children have been killed by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) according to the Defense for Children International (DCI) the Palestine branch.
The latest of these martyrs is Odeh Sadqa 16 who was killed by the IOF west of Ramallah in the middle of the West Bank on Thursday according to the DCI-Palestine in a statement on Friday.
The DCI-Palestine Accountability Program Director Ayed Abu Eqtaish said: “The international community’s silence and lack of legal accountability encouraged the Israeli occupation army to continue killing Palestinian children.”
“The evidence DCI-Palestine has gathered indicates that the IOF uses lethal force against Palestinian children in circumstances that may amount to extrajudicial killings or murder” the Director confirmed.
The year 2021 was the deadliest year for Palestinian children since 2014; the IOF and armed settlers killed 78 Palestinian children in that year according to DCI-Palestine.
