The Palestinian ministry of health on Thursday reported 14 new deaths associated with COVID-11 (coronavirus) 1717 new positive tests and 2052 recoveries in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report nine of the new victims who died of the virus are from different areas of the West Bank and five from Gaza.
177 critically ill COVID-19 patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and 54 of them have been placed on ventilators.
Furthermore 516 other patients are receiving medical care in hospitals and special COVID-19 treatment centers.
88.3 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 10.6 percent and the rate of deaths is 1.1 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
